Roman CultureLife in Rome revolved around the city of rome, and its famed seven hills. Its monumental structures such as the flavian Amphitheatre, the Forum of Trajan, and the Pantheon. The city also had several theatres, gymnasiusm, and many taverns, baths, and brothels. Buildings ranged from modest houses to country vilas, and in the city of Rome imperial residences on the elegant Palatine Hill, from which the word “palace” comes from. Majority of the people lived in the city packed apartment blocks.
